I have been winning cases for clients for over 42 years. I started law practice with Attorney Donald T. Sterling, who was also the owner of the Clippers NBA Franchise. I sat as a Judge Pro Tem in the Beverly Hills Superior Court. I was a partner in Hobart, Heeringa & Yardley, a premier personal injury litigation law firm.
Our firm won millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for our clients. My best known case is Abbie Philips vs. Paul Allen, a landmark sexual harassment and breach of film partnership federal court case against the billionaire who founded Microsoft with Bill Gates. I am not intimidated by anyone, no matter how rich and powerful they are.
I have extensive experience in entertainment law. In addition to the Philips v. Allen breach of film partnership litigation which included valuation of greenlighted film projects, I have negotiated contracts for artists, and resolved intellectual property ownership rights.
To brush up my trial skills, I joined Malibu Stage Company in 2010, first as a drama student, eventually serving as a stage manager, an actor, and as co-producer of the play, “Art.” I was privileged to work with Malibu celebrities who supported and performed at the theatre including Dick Van Dyke and Katharine Ross. In 2014, I served as attorney for the production of “Primal Scream, The Musical,” at Pepperdine Theater, a collaboration of psychologist, Art Janov, and music icon, David Foster, based on Art Janov’s best-selling novel, Primal Scream.
Give me a call if you have any questions. I am always personally available to discuss your case with you.
